Former Stamford Dan Malloy came from behind in the final days of the primary in August to win the Democratic nomination for governor, defeating Greenwich millionaire Ned Lamont by a surprising landslide margin.
Now Malloy is facing another Greenwich millionaire in the general election -- Republican Tom Foley. Their campaigns already are exchanging negative ads, but Malloy became the frontrunner in the first head-to-head polling for the two gubernatorial candidates.
